Syd Barrett

Initially led by guitarist Syd Barrett, the group has a modest success in the mid-1960s and became one of London's most popular underground bands of the psychedelic scene. However, the behavior increasingly unstable Barrett (apparently caused by too much LSD), led other members to replace David Gilmour, a friend of Barrett's childhood. After the departure of the latter, bassist Roger Waters gradually became the leader of the group, signing all the words from 1972. Pink Floyd acquires the following year worldwide fame
